Eligibility Requirement: Must be 18 or older, and residents of California. Applicants should also fall into one of the two categories in order to be eligible for participation: disadvantaged or at-risk.

Services: A non-profit program offering low-cost computer training and job placement for deserving adults (ages 18 and up) from disadvantaged communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Street Tech students undergo an intensive 3-6 month technical and life skills training programs, for 9-15 hours per week, after which they are transitioned into entry-level computer technician, help desk, and network administration jobs.

Eligibility: Youth ages 6-14 who reside in Alameda or Contra Costa County/

Services: BBBS East Bay matches adult volunteers to Alameda & Contra Costa County children and youth ages 6-14 to serve as role models and to help each “little” toward a happy, healthy and successful life. In the traditional program, matches meet at least three times a month for free or low-cost activities, help with schoolwork, or just talking and hanging out. In our school-based programs, matches meet once a week during the academic year at school.
